Pictures of our molecular models and crystals structure models
Although inorganic molecular compounds are generally regarded as molecules that don't contain any C-H bonds, this definition is neither rigorous or particularly useful and we tend to include metallo-organic compounds, complexes and other similar compounds in this group - in short, any molecule that isn't obviously simply organic. By their nature, it is difficult to systematically organise these compounds but this page contains a good sample of the type of molecules that we have made. Because they are generally small and discrete, many of these models have been given in presentations to students, visiting speakers and retiring colleagues, and so are shown here mounted on bases.
